This is the oldest specially protected national park in Russia, which local residents created to save the territory from barbaric logging and natural stone mining. Located on the right bank of the Yenisei, in the vicinity of Krasnoyarsk. More than 600 species of plants, 178 species of birds, 50 species of animals and 20 species of fish are preserved here. But the main attraction is the syenite rocks, which are called the Pillars.
The pillars are narrow and tall — from 60 to 850 meters — with guessable outlines of people, animals and mythological creatures. They are given unusual names for their appearance: Grandfather, Feathers, Lion Gate, Twins, Elephant, Sparrows and others. In total, there are 189 rocks and rock formations in the park with a unique structure of passages and holes.
